D E E P   I N   T H E   J U N G L E

A vibrant celebration of colour, movement and creative freedom. With wings outstretched against a lush, abstract botanical backdrop, this tropical parrot is surrounded by layers of deep greens, turquoise, electric pink and flashes of orange and gold.

This was my first experimental carving using two contrasting palettes layered side by side, followed by an abstract topcoat of multiple colours. Carved through 47 layers of acrylic paint on each side of an 1100mm round board, this piece pushed the boundaries of my usual process and allowed me to explore a more expressive, spontaneous approach to paint carving.

Layered in October 2020 and completed in February 2022, this piece was created for my amazing massage therapist, who gave me full creative licence. A joyful reminder of the freedom that comes from following a creative spark, I still get to admire it every time I visit for a massage!

Prints are unframed and shipped in a flat board package or tube (depending on size). It is strongly recommended that the print remain in the packaging until it is ready to be framed. 

Stock: Printed on 310 gsm Textured Cotton Rag paper, using archival giclée inks.
